The problem of antibiotic resistance is not only a research challenge, but also an issue of educating and communicating with different groups in the society. The general public need to know simple ways to reduce risks for transmission, why it is important to take prescribed antibiotics, and when one should not insist on getting a prescription.

Policymakers need to be informed of which measures works and which does not. CARe is developing resources for teachers both in high schools and universities to incorporate the problem of antibiotic resistance into their curriculum. At University of Gothenburg we aim to create resources for multiple areas of studies, i.e., economics, philosophy, medicine and science. Further, we are in the process of generating information for the general public to aid in education outside the classroom.
