New Special Journal Issue on the Ethics of Antibiotic Resistance

CARe fellows Christian Munthe, Nils Nijsingh, Karl de Fine Licht and Joakim Larsson are the joint editors of a new special issue of the research journal Bioethics on the theme of the ethics of antibiotic resistance. The issue features 8 original contributions by leading scholars from philosophy, politics, law, medicine and social science.

The issue is a continuation of the seminal CARe 2017 symposium Ethics and Value Challenges in Antibiotic Resistance Management, Policy and Research (LÄNK: See all Ethics and Value Challenges in Antibiotic Resistance Management, Policy and Research talks), and addresses ethics and value related challenges, dilemmas and opportunities across clinical medicine, healthcare management, health policy, global health, research ethics and policy, and national as well as international law. The contributors are all in the forefront of antibiotic resistance related ethics and policy related research, representing universities of Gothenburg, Harvard, Leicester, London, McMaster, Monash, Munich, Ottawa, Oxford, San Diego and York, as well as the US National Institute of Health and the National Public Health Agency of Norway.
