CARe ethics researchers contribute to innovation project to improve sustainable access to antibiotics.

PLATINEA has been granted SEK 20 M by the Swedish innovation funding agency VINNOVA to work collaboratively with researchers on antibiotics and antibiotic resistance, healthcare practitioners, public agencies and pharmacological industry.

The project PLATINEA has been granted SEK 20 M by the Swedish innovation funding agency VINNOVA to work collaboratively with researchers on antibiotics and antibiotic resistance, healthcare practitioners, public agencies and pharmacological industry to develop new knowledge and policy measures to improve innovation regarding sustainable access to antibiotics. The CARe ethicists Christian Munthe and Erik Malmqvist will analyze and suggest reform of regulative and normative systems that may impede sustainable innovation and access to antibiotics in healthcare, as well as support implementation studies of antibiotic stewardship measures regarding ethical challenges. The PLATINEA project runs 2019-2020. It is hosted by Uppsala University and lead by Enrico Baraldi.
